What is Macrobiotic?

 Macrobiotics comes from the ancient Greek “macro” that means “great” or “longevity” and “Bio’s” with the meaning of “life”.
Macrobiotic is a dietary regimen which involves eating grains as a staple food, supplemented with other foods such as local vegetables, and avoiding the use of highly processed or refined foods and most animal products. Basically, this diet focuses on eating local and seasonal foods that balance each other in harmonic ways.
